Jonathan, a former player for Garstang Football and Cricket Clubs, lives in Catterall with his wife. He has an interest in a number of sports including football and golf.
Mick was born in Garstang and has been a keen sportsman all his life, having represented the town in football and cricket. He enjoys a round of golf and has previously run the New York and Chicago marathons for charity.

Kevin loves spending time with his wife and young children, in addition to meeting up with friends socially when he can. He enjoys walking in the countryside and playing badminton, squash and snooker (to a very modest level!). Kevin is a keen supporter of Liverpool Football Club (an ex season ticket holder prior to family commitments) and Lancashire Cricket Club.
Liz likes to socialise with her friends, doing this in various ways such as visiting different cities. Liz recently started playing golf with a number of her colleagues at Towers + Gornall playing at courses such as Lancaster and Garstang, she longs for the day when she will be consistently good at golf! Liz also likes spending time with her family such as her twin sister and her nephew and niece, Oliver and Grace.
A keen follower of football, Andrew still retains the season ticket he has had at Bolton Wanderers since 1997, despite the recent trials and tribulations both on and off the pitch!
Having recently rekindled his love of snowboarding from his younger days, Andrew now saves most of his holidays for the winter months where he tries to get away to the Alps as much as possible.
Living in Ellel with his wife, Louise, two sons and two Labrador dogs, Andrew enjoys country life. He maintains a keen interest in Garstang Cricket Club as a former player and coach. He is also a keen spectator of England in both cricket and rugby.
Angela works four days a week and is busy too looking after her husband and two children. She helps out on the family dairy farm and in her spare time enjoys meals out and socialising with friends and walks with her Labrador dog Coco.
Anne likes to go to the gym and in September 2017 completed the Born Survivor 10k military obstacle course and in January 2018 completed the Garstang 10K.
Callum is a keen sportsman, playing for Pilling RR and Inskip at bowls and also another two darts teams in the local surrounding leagues. Having also played cricket for Shireshead in recent years, this is another sport he enjoys watching. Callum is a keen supporter of Manchester United, getting to old Trafford whenever he can! During the winter months he also enjoys his shooting being a member of Morecambe Bay Wildfowlers, and when it comes warmer in the summer, he also tries his hand at clay pigeon shooting.
Chloe lives in Catterall with her husband Jason and son Jack. Her interests include health & fitness so is a regular at the gym. Chloe also enjoys going for long walks with family and friends and baking on her days off.
Emilie lives locally and loves her morning walks into work. Emilie is a talented dancer as she performs ballet, modern and tap and she has graced the stage with many performances with her dance group.
Emily has always been a keen footballer and currently plays for Morecambe Ladies, she is a key member of the team not only on the pitch but off it as well helping coach the younger age groups. Emily also coaches her own girls football team and sees this as a huge opportunity to learn new skills and progress as a coach. Alongside football Emily likes going out on her bike. She thoroughly enjoys doing the guild wheel in Preston.
Fergus is passionate about music, regularly attending gigs as well as performing all over the local area. From playing bass in an instrumental, improvised, progressive-metal band to saxophone in both a funk and soul function band and a parading carnival street band.
Fergus also volunteers year-round at Lancaster Jazz Festival.
Izzy is a very enthusiastic sports woman, who is committed to going to the gym every night after work to do Cross-Training and CrossFit. She also loves to go to gymnastics to practice her back flips. Izzy likes to travel, including both sunny and skiing holidays. At the weekends, she enjoys going on walks with her dogs and is a keen supporter of Manchester City. Once a week, Izzy enjoys going to the local Bridge club in Garstang with her Mum.
Jill has lived in Garstang all her life and is married with two grown up daughters. She likes to keep fit and enjoys the outdoors. She regularly cycles to work, weather permitting, or if she hasn’t got too much shopping to take home. She is a keen runner and can often be seen being dragged along the canal bank or local lanes by her very enthusiastic Collie dog. Over the last year she has completed the Garstang 10K, Garstang Gallop and Garstang Half Marathon. She has recently started to go swimming before work and likes a challenge so is going to participate in Triathlon events, the first one being the Chester Olympic Distance Triathlon early June 2018.

Kate lives with her husband John and three daughters Emily, Charlotte and Jessica. Kate enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also likes to travel and has visited such areas as mainland Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Kath is a professionally trained Weaver (there’s not many of those around anymore)!! She enjoys spending time with her family, enjoying days out and occasional holidays. She also enjoys BBQ’s in summer and socialising.
Katie has a thrill for the outdoors. She is always going on walks with her dog Simba and spending time in the garden. Katie also enjoys watching sporting events such as netball and cricket. Alongside watching sport, Katie has grown up playing many sports such as netball and rugby and was a member of Garstang Gators Swimming Club, competing in galas across Lancashire. Katie wishes to start playing netball again and she keeps active by going to the gym. Katie also enjoys snowboarding and running, having recently completed the Garstang 10k in January alongside some of the Towers + Gornall team, raising money for local charities around Garstang.

Lynne has lived in Garstang since the age of 3, is married to James and has three children. She enjoys family life, socialising with friends, holidays, and is a member of a local book club.
Maggie is a very sociable person meeting up with her friends in the local pubs for a drink and a meal whenever she can and hosts many a dinner party. She is also part of a fitness club attending sessions each week. Other hobbies she enjoys includes running, pilates and circuit training. Maggie also likes to travel and visit different countries, Portugal and Lanzarote are just two of the places she is visiting this year. She loves city breaks in the UK, as well as regular walking weekends in the Lake District.
Outside work, Mandy is a keen golfer and enjoys venturing out on any scenic walks, whether it be the Lakes or the Ribble Valley.
Mark loves his sport, playing cricket for his local club, Garstang, for nearly 20 years. Away from cricket, Mark plays football for Wyresdale Rangers in the Lancashire Evening Post Sunday League Division One where he was captain for three seasons. Away from the athletic stuff, Mark enjoys his social life, being captain of the Kings Arms pool team for the last four seasons. Mark recently joined Goosnargh Farmers and thoroughly enjoys the meetings, held monthly from September – March. Within his first year, he was asked to become Treasurer for the club, to which he duly accepted. Mark is very much a community man and indeed a Garstang man, he gets stuck in and is always willing to help.
Michael is a member of a shooting syndicate and is involved with the management of the shoot. He has also recently joined a darts team, playing in one of the local leagues. Other interests include football, where he follows Blackburn Rovers, and playing the guitar in his spare time.
Paul and his family very much enjoy walking and exploring the Lake District fells when given the opportunity. Paul is very involved at Shireshead & Forton Cricket Club as a committee member and player, until recently captaining the 1st XI for 12 seasons. He now runs a new initiative called ‘All Stars’ introducing boys and girls aged 5 to 9 to cricket for the first time. Paul is also involved in his local Church where he is a trustee and has run a Kids Club for children aged 9 to 12 on a Friday evening for almost 20 years now.
Rachael really enjoyed being a part of the sign language society at university learning British Sign Language (BSL), and hopes to carry on learning more in her spare time.
Rachael also enjoys spending time meeting up with friends and having days out with her family.
Rosa grew up in East Lancashire and made the big move to Garstang in 1997. Rosa is married to Mark and enjoys running, socialising, travelling and sitting in the sunshine!
Scott likes his football and plays for 2 football teams – Garstang FC Reserves on Saturdays and Wyresdale Rangers on Sundays, as well as playing 5 a side midweek! When he’s not kicking a football, he enjoys watching games on the TV and supports Manchester United FC. As well as sport, Scott enjoys going on holiday with his friends and family, with Jamaica being his favourite holiday destination so far!
Spencer studied Business at Newman college before progressing through to work here at Towers + Gornall. Spencer is local and will be known by many in the Garstang area. He is an avid Leeds United fan and also plays football himself. He played football for Garstang's youth team and now 5-a-side in the local indoor league.
Tom plays an active part in his local cricket club, Garstang CC, being a key team member on the field. Off the field, he is part of the committee, is involved in coaching the junior section and looks after the website and social media platforms for the club. Alongside cricket, he is a keen supporter of Tottenham Hotspur and has played for various football teams from Garstang up to University. He is currently playing alongside some of his workmates at Wyresdale Rangers FC.
Outside of sport, he loves taking his two dogs out for long walks and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
