CLOCK TICKING FAST ON SELF-EMPLOYED GRANT 2
Monday, 19th October is the final day for sole traders, or partners to make an online application for SEISS grant two, which could be worth up to £6,570.
If you were still impacted commercially after 14th July by Covid and meet the other eligibility criteria you should apply now before its's too late.
Remember, you do not need to have claimed the Self Employed Income Support Scheme Grant 1 to be eligible for Grant 2.
Further support will be available from November with SEISS Grant 3 and In February 2021 with SEISS grant 4 but at a much reduced rate
The government has also widened the remit of the SEISS for Grant 2, in particular to include parents and those who have adopted, who may have seen took parental leave from trading to care for their children within the first 12 months of birth of the child, or within 12 months of an adoption placement.
In those instances applicants can use either their 2017-18 or both their 2016-17 and 2017-18 Self-Assessment returns as the basis for their eligibility for the SEISS, if they weren't otherwise eligible
